Thanks for stopping by! Here you will find my web development projects, hobbies and interests!! If you are interested in something you see drop a line! anytime!

I am a junior web developer who enjoys challenging problems and building processes. I started my career as an internal auditor, where I began coding to create micro-services to automate financial SOX and tax-related tasks within a publicly traded company. The automation pipeline included REST APIs, Python, and GitHub version control. Coding quickly became my favorite part of the job, and I focused on building my expertise. I completed the Actualize full stack coding bootcamp in Chicago, where I focused on Ruby on Rails and Model-view-controller (MVC) framework. For my capstone, I developed and published a project that pulls data from recipe websites to interact with users' uploaded pantry items, curating grocery lists.

I continue to expand my experience through formal education opportunities such as Codeacademy, and I flourish in designing custom projects. My most recent project was developed to help research scientists analyze DNA. The project culminated in an AWS-deployed website using a suite of tools, including; JS, Node.js, React, Docker (Images and Containers), AWS ECR, AWS S3, AWS Cloudfront, and AWS App Runner. To see that project and more, please see some of my projects below and my GitHub account.

Whether creating tools for auditors or researchers, I thrive in both independent and especially group innovation to help clients reduce the amount of repetitive, banal tasks, so energy can be spent on the bigger picture elements. I would enjoy the opportunity to serve as a trusted developer!

I'm currently pursuing opportunities in which I can program at a fulll capacity.

My programming bootcamp exposed me to how to explore and expand my knowledge and understanding of web applications from my experience building micro-service applications. With this understanding I've built full-stack (fronted and backend) websites. I've sought out educational opportunities (e.g. Codeacademy) and projects using tools above, and including Ruby on Rails, Vue, Python, SQL, Github, Pycharm, and VS Code.

I continue to work on my programming knowledge and expertise through full-stack website development using Javascript, React frontend and Node.js backend. My personal and professional projects have challenged me to grow my fundumental knowledge around web development through initial brainstorming, designing wireframe and database; in addition to, coding, testing and deployment on AWS services.

Biking and Board Games

In my free time I love to boardgame, run, and bike.

I have been board gaming soon after I learned to count. My initial adventure to Catan came shortly after learning to play the classics. I love getting together with friends family for sharing an evening of back-stabbing with Secret Hitler. My recent go to play throughs are Stifling Dark and Dice Throwns. But my contemplative competitors have to be Puerto Rico and my personal favorite; the choatic mayhem of Guards of Atlantis II. Looking forward to my yearly pilgramige to Indianapolis, Indiana to celebrate GenCon's 56th year of The Best Four Days in Gaming™.

When I'm not board gaming with friends during my freetime, I enjoy biking Chicago's Lakefront Trail* taking in the numerous sites and sounds along the way.

Every so often you can find me under the scortching summer sun touring across a midwestern state while hauling my camping gear on RAGBRAI in Iowa or Katy Trail in Missouri.
